Housework Clues

I thought I would share the very start of my journey to a better home and family. At home I was never 'taught' how to run a home, routines, how to clean. Mum just did it and it was done when we arrived home from school each day. So as we left home I was left floundering, stumbling along with the ridicule from people who would rather point fingers than help and teach the right way. And then in December last year my life changed. I already had 3 little darlings to care for and dear husband was at the the end of his patience with the house. So in my heartwrenching search for something that would shed some light on this housekeeping confusion I was led to FlyLady.net Now this site and the lovely ladies here have, I have to say changed my life. And if you would like to meet some of them in real-time, here is where I go to get inspiration FlyLady Chat Now this isnt just any 'excuse for a chat' chat room. As you read on the website, Marla/FlyLady gives you all the tools to a tidy house emphasising baby steps, or doing small things everyday until they become routine and then putting together a Morning and Before Bed Routine to be done every day and cleaning your house in 'zones' every month. The chat room is for us ladies who need a little extra motivation. We go at TOTH -Top Of The Hour, and BOTH- Bottom Of The Hour and clean/work for 15 or 20 minutes using the tips we've learnt as a guide and then return to celebrate each others achievement for the rest of the halfhour. It is all about getting it done without burning out! Friday is Date Night, Saturday-Family Fun Day and Sunday-Renewal, so its not all about cleaning but also looking after yourself. Actually the 'FLY' part stands for 'Finally Loving Yourself'

So feel free to join us and flutter your way free from a cluttered, stressful home :) And if you do, let me know what you think, I know you'll love it!

31 Days of Love - Day 7

I have been following the 31 Days of Love at Time-Warp Wife this month and was thinking today of how Ive been nurturing my husband. Now we all know its hard when the kids are screaming and the dinners close to burning and theres paperwork to fill out. Then your dear husband walks in the door, home from work and says 'Hi honey, whats for tea?'

I have a long way to go until I achieve a wholly harmonious household at that point but what I do try to do is although we don't go out on dates (our last 1 was our anniversary September last year) after I put the darling children to bed I get out the moisturiser, sit on the end of the bed and massage his feet which are always sore from pressing the accelerator ect. in a truck all day. We talk until he goes to sleep and I don't move until I know hes settled. And I don't start my clean up or bedtime routine until they are all asleep.

I know he loves me and I think there are many ways that I could be showing him how much I appreciate all that he does for us. Im nowhere near perfect but forever striving to be the best 'submissive' helpmate that I can be, guided by Gods hand.

A New Life

No not a baby but a new life, a new marriage for me and my husband and a happier life for our children. That is what I hope to achieve and with looking around the blogasphere I know there is plenty of inspiration :) Through my craft blog (at http://crossstitchcrazymum.blogspot.com/) I have found a lot of wonderful women and families trying to make the best of their life and I know I must try as well. I will be making this my diary of becoming a more 'submissive' wife and loving helpmate, and seeing what I can do to teach my children and what we can do as a whole to eat healthier, fresher and just to be happier in myself. I am striving to better myself and share my struggles and rejoicings with those who understand :) Now if Blogger will behave I will be able continue to show these 2 sides of me as a constant, changing wife and lady.
